With everything digital today, comes personal risk. You must use all the tools at your disposal to try to stay as safe as possible. Google is collecting a massive amount of info on you. But at least it is a US company operating under US Law. So my opinion on this is better safe than sorry and Huawei it appears may not be a very good choice.
